Police in Cardiff are appealing for information following an incident which occurred on a bus travelling along Newport Road at around 6.00am on Thursday 18th September.
A group of people were behaving rowdily on the number 45 bus as it was heading towards the city centre. The 28 year old bus driver asked them to leave the vehicle after it came to a halt at a bus stop on Newport Road between Fitzalan Place and Knox Road.
One of the group, a black male, approached the bus driver and assaulted him before getting off the bus.
Police have published a CCTV image of the suspect and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who can identify this person to contact them. The bus was quite busy with a number of early morning commuters on board.
