Police officers investigating a number of incidents of criminal damage to motor vehicles parked on the streets of Roath in the summer have arrested and charged a man with these offences.

Omar Karshie, 33, from Grangetown has been charged with causing criminal damage to six motor cars in July this year when they were parked on streets in the Plasnewydd area of Roath, Cardiff.

PC Andy Cox of Cathays Police Station said: “South Wales Police take incidents like these, which affect residents’ quality of life, very seriously.  We are committed to making people feel safe here in South Wales.  The charging of this individual will serve as a deterrent to others thinking of committing crime in our communities.”

Karshie will appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court later this month.
