South Wales Police is investigating the murder of a 42 year-old male from the Tonypandy area.
Following a serious assault, which occurred on Friday 17th April 2015 in De Winton Street, Tonypandy, the victim was conveyed to Royal Glamorgan Hospital where he later died.
Four people have been arrested in connection with this incident and remain in police custody.
The family of the deceased are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Police would urge anyone who was in the area of De Winton Street in the late evening of 17th April 2015 and have any information, to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting occurrence:1500134148, or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
As part of the on-going investigation South Wales Police officers remain at the scene of the incident – a cordon is in place at De Winton Street until further notice.
