Police are appealing to trace a member of the public who raised the alarm to a house fire in Skewen earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to Dynevor Road at 8.43pm on Tuesday 5th May following reports of a fire at a flat.
The 54-year-old male occupant died as a result of the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious.
The death is being investigated on behalf of HM Coroner.
Detective Sergeant Nigel Morgan of Neath CID said: “The fire has been subject to a joint investigation by the police and fire service and is not being treated as suspicious.
“We are appealing to trace a man who was walking past the flat at the time of the fire and alerted one of the occupants, who in turn contacted the fire service.
We want to trace this man as part of our investigation.” ...
